Using an Internet Browser

 

q    How to start Internet Explorer or
Firefox

 

q    Browser basics

·        close button [Alt+F4] (to exit)

·        maximize/restore button [Alt+ space bar]

·        minimize button

·        scroll bars [Page Down/Up]

·        hyperlinks

·        Stop button [Esc]

·        Back button  [Alt+ left arrow]

 

q    Using the Address or Location bar

·        Click mouse in Address or Location bar [Alt+d]

·        If address is highlighted (blue) you do not need to backspace

·        not necessary to type http://

·        type address (URL)

·        Internet addresses do not contain spaces.

·        press Enter (or click Go)

·        pay attention to the status bar
